As Parrot is based on Debian then I will recommend Newbies to learn Ubuntu based linux at first or just (Use Debian Distro :→ Debian.org) or Use Parrot Home
You can use whatever, Parrot was my first Linux system. Anything is possible if you read, and work to solve your own problems. Asking for help reduces your ability to learn effectively. If you make the conscious choice to only ask questions when you’ve exhausted every available resource (we’re talking weeks or months) and you have data but you’ve become stuck then asking I think is a logical step forward.
Everything else for the most part is laziness (a trait all humans share). We can work on becoming less lazy and building our problem solving skill-sets but like everything human it’s not permanent and requires work to keep it up to date. There is plenty of documentation to go through both on our documentation portal, the links within the portal and here on the forum (searching will increase your success of finding what you need rather than asking).
Yes @s1udge many man has many choices & different tastes Backtrack5 was my first operating system, then Kali then Parrot
People just always want the better things. It really doesn’t matter what you are using. It matters when you can perform the work you want in your own way Asking for help reduces your ability to learn effectively
I also support your belief. Everyone should solve his own problem at first.
Because if he/she can’t solve his/her problem then how they will solve others problems
you really have a nice documentation portal. Some of them are still WIP.
But your efforts are outstanding for newbies who want to use Parrot as their first OS
We all have had different experiences, because I can’t solve one problem does not mean I have not solved another problem, and that can help someone else.
